Revival of a long lost passion

I used to maintain a nice blog at http://whynotme.rediffblogs.com back in the days. With Rediff taking it down I started off this one with a promise to deliver. I couldn't believe I totally lost track of my passion for writing.

I never thought I could write anything other than software. But after writing a few Random Thoughts, I thought I could do it. Anyways, after some soul searching, I have decided that I will do whatever it takes to pursue my passions.
  • Eat well, exercise, do not over work and live happy
  • Write about the happy life in this blog
More than I do, my daughter wants to write a lot and I promised her that she could continue writing in her blog too going forward.

I am already pursuing passion #1 and happy to announce the arrival of my new toy for my joy!! I am sure I will have a lot to share about my adventures with this joy. I replaced my big ride with a small ride, for my health.

கசடற கல்

As a kid I used to read a lot of Tamil monthlies like Kumudam, Anandha Vikatan and Rani that my parents used to buy. Of course I have read a lot of Pattukkottai Prabakar and Rajeshkumar (famous detectives Vivek and Rupala) as well. But the short stories always inspired me a lot, short and simple to read and one single sketch that showed a scene from the story. Here is one such attempt I made, and my first one too at a short story. Day 2 - Way too many puddles to cross to get to Sarchu

I am running late to complete the blogs I originally planned, by about 2 years :). I did this adventurous motorcyle trip with friends in June 2017 and captured some memorable moments but haven't been punctual in writing about them. Now to Day 2... June 25, 2017 Goal Day 2 goal was to ride from Keylong, HP to Dorje Camps in Sarchu, HP in one piece. Riding distance was 100 kms and there was no specific time target. If you see a name of a place en route, it's just a tent with 2 people selling dal and rice. Caution Our guide advised that the ride is not going to be easy and we will be encountering a lot more broken or missing roads and most importantly water crossings. We had to start early to cross as many rivers/streams as possible before the ice starts to melt more.
