Priya's famous arguments...

I was busy working from home on a dull Monday and my daughter is also home for Spring Break. Deadly combination eh?! Whenever she says "Appa, can I ask you a question?". These are some of my scariest moments, not knowing what is in store for me.

What was before the Dinosaurs? I didn't care about it anytime in my life and my 6 year daughter asks me this question. I said I don't know and she says go Google it... I did and she picked up this About.com link to read about it. In that page, she even recognized that funny looking reptile as "Dimetrodon".

Well that is not the end,

During my drive to the post-office yesterday, she asked me "Why is Pluto not a planet?" and I said "It IS a planet when I checked last". She asked "When did you last check?". Well, when did I last check? Really not sure. When I was in school, they taught me there are nine planets orbiting around the sun and that Pluto as the ninth and farthest planet from Sun. I really lost touch with what was happening to that little fellow Pluto. She won a bet with me to prove "Pluto is not a planet anymore but called a dwarf planet among couple of other such things". Another $15 or so for a barbie or whatever that looks pink!!

OMG, I can't take this kind of pressure anymore as if I don't have enough already.

Then comes the most funniest thing that happened several weeks ago.

She asks "Are our Astraunauts aliens if they go to other planets?" I say "I don't think so". She asks "Then why do we call them aliens if someone comes from other planets?". I say "I don't know". Then she drops the bomb "You said you went to college!!". Only thing she hasn't asked so far is the transcripts and certificates. But I am sure she is going to do that soon.

"Mummy...."
